Rotronics MH10 Dual Battery System installed in 07 Hilux Diesel, 2nd Battery is located in the Carvan, however a 2nd battery can be installed under the bonnet where this MH10 is located, note also the extra Diesel fuel filter supplied and fitted by Adventure Auto Electrics, these are a must have upgrade for anyone travelling to remote areas, they have a far superior water seperator than the standard Toyota filter. (These are a pre-filter and installed in line before factory filter)

CTEK Dual Battery System installed in a 2006 Prado with second 80A/hr Battery, this is a new release product from Ctek, its a 20Amp 12VDC - 12VDC (13.8VDC) Charger, it has all the feature you have come to expextfrom Ctek. Multi units can also be set up to run a caravan or camper battery. Adventure Auto Electrics use only high quality parts and well designed equipment, in this case the battery tray installed next to the fire wall is by far the strongest and best design for a Prado and Hilux.

P3 Tekonsha Electric Brake Controller installed in a 2006 Toyota Prado, this is the latest offering from the best brake unit manufacturer in the market, these are an extreamely easy to use unit, push button operation and by far the smoothest operating unit to date. The P3 also has built in diagnostic features such as battery voltage, short to ground fault and no connection alerts etc. These units are supplied and installed for just $395 on all makes and models of vehicles.

5.8inch monitor and reverse camera installed in a 2007 Hilux tray back, this system will operate 2 cameras, 1 on the car and the 2nd on a caravan or camper, the unit is set up to automatically select the car camera when put in reverse but can be switched to the caravan camera and back again at the touch of a button, you can even turn it on during transit to view your tow hitch or traffic behind your caravan. (This should only be operated by a passanger, Adventure Auto Electrics does not give permission to or take any responsibility for a driver viewing this system whilst driving forward.)

Please note brackets are custom made and painted to requirements as everyone has a slightly diferent application. (this unit is in testing stage) Moving this camera out 100mm from frame rail made quite a difference to the viewing area and suited the customers requirements to a t.

CAT Electronic Rust Protector, Quality not quantity, these units are extremely effective! so much so they offer a 10yr Guarantee on a NEW vehicle, unlike other systems they do not have 4, 6, 8 or even more pads siliconed all over your vehicle, they use only 2 on a large vehicle or 4wd and just 1 on a small to medium car. They are a high quality high output unit which ommits a light audiable buzz to indicate its operation and the units incorparate a voltage cut off to prevent battry failure if left for long periods of time. ( Any vehicle which is stored for long periods should have a Ctek maintenace charger fitted to keep the battery in tip top condition and keep your best insurance (CAT) running at its best 24/7.) Note the control unit in bottom left corner of pic and 1 pad further along guard, the 2nd pad is usually installed behind or under back seat.

Uniden or GME or Icom UHF radios are all suppiled and installed by Adventure Auto Electrics, this is a Uniden UHF installed discretly in the centre console of a 2006 Prado. It is becoming harder and harder to find places to fit gadgets and necessities in your vehicle, there are however more makes and models than ever on the market and they are getting smaller and smaller, The new GME is only 100mm wide x 85mm deep x just 20mm high! If thats not small I don't know what is, the great units are the Icom and uniden models with completely remote hand sets, the Icom base has no controls at all, meaning ot can be mounted out of sight with only a hand set to be installed in a convenient location to the driver or as pictured below to anyone by having the handset located in the centre console with the control unit located behind hand brake cover and center console as seen in 06 Hilux in 2nd picture below.

Icom IC-440 Uhf installed in 2006 Toyota hilux, remote handset is all you see.

Following few pics are from the Glass House Mountains (2/1/2010)

Little Red.

Little Red.

Excellent attempt at Big Red by the TJ Jeep (33's, open diffs), had to recover from about half way up with a hand winch, Good Excercise!

Track around Big Red (surposed to be chicken track!)

Broken crown and pinion in rear diff, Ouch! pulled out tail shaft and made it back to workshop in front wheel drive saving the cost and wait of a tow truck.

If your ever interesed in coming for a run to the mountains, let us know! or keep an eye out on the 4x4 Action forums, In the forum meet up section, there is often groups heading that way in everything from stock Prado's and Pajero's to highly modified Jeeps and Nissan's. There is something for everyone.
